Which types of records are included in the sync?

Which fields are synced between Rethink and Showcase?

Is it possible to sync custom Rethink fields to Showcase?

Yes, certain types of fields can be added to the sync - however, a setup charge for this customization may apply. Please contact support with a list of custom fields you would like mapped to Showcase for scoping.

How often does synchronization occur?

  • Synchronization runs periodically, typically in daily intervals.

  • Only records changed since last synchronization are processed.

  • Assets/Photos are synchronized along with their Space/Unit or Property.

  • Leads, Sale or Lease Comps, and Brokers are synchronized only from Showcase to Rethink.

How can I tell if a record has been successfully synced?

After a record successfully syncs, its Buildout ID will be displayed in the record in Rethink. There is no indication in Showcase that a record has been synced.

To check if a record has been successfully synced, the record must be viewed in Rethink. If the record in Rethink has a Buildout ID filled in, that indicates the record has been synced.

Is there a way to stop an individual record from being synced?

After the initial sync, if desired, the sync option can be turned off on individual records by unchecking the 'Sync with BO' box in Rethink. This option is only accessible in Rethink, for the following types of records: Properties, Spaces/Units, Comps, Deals.

How do I sync a property from Rethink to Showcase?

To ensure a property in Rethink is synced with Showcase, the following steps must be performed in this order:

1. Create the Property record

  • Do not check the 'Sync with BO' yet, as this will come later.

2. Add an Internal Colleague to the Associated Parties related list

  • The Associated Party must already exist as a Broker in Showcase, and their email address must match the email address of a Broker in Showcase for sync to occur.

3. Check the 'Sync with BO' option in the Property record

4. Optional - Create the Space/Unit(s), Comps, and Deals. Note, in order for any of these records to sync with Showcase, the parent property must be marked for synchronization.

How are properties matched during the sync?

Properties (Rethink) and Listings (Showcase) are matched based on address.

How are brokers matched during the sync?

Colleagues (Rethink) and Brokers (Showcase) are matched by email address.

It is best practice to create brokers in Showcase so they sync to Rethink, which helps prevent duplicate records from being created if the email addresses do not match.
