This article explains how to update your user profile and personal profile settings.

Updating Your User Profile

After logging in for the first time, we recommend that you fill out your user profile. You can add a photo, contact information, and more.

Step 1. Click on your profile avatar in the upper-right corner.

Step 2. Click on your name or avatar (photo) at the top of the drop-down menu.

Step 3. Click Edit to change your personal details. You can also upload or change your profile photo by clicking the camera icon next to the avatar circle.

Updating Your Personal Profile Settings

Personal Profile Settings are your individual user settings that can be configured to personalize your user experience. These settings are specific to each user and can be managed by the user themselves.

Some common examples of settings you can find within your Personal Profile Settings are language and locale, time zone, password settings, and accessibility options.

Step 1. Click on your profile avatar in the upper-right corner.

Step 2. Click Settings from the drop-down menu.

Step 3. Update the information as desired.

Below is a brief explanation of most items found within Personal Personal Settings:

  • Advanced User Details Things like your given profile and license type can be seen here.

  • Approver Settings Set who approves your requests (If enabled, not standard).

  • Change My Password Allows you to change your password.

  • Connections OAuth apps and third party links (not usually used).

  • Grant Authorized Login Access Allows authorized partners (such as Rethink and Salesforce) to access your account. Normally for troubleshooting.

  • Language & Time Zone Set language and time zone.

  • Login History Shows logins to your account, both attempted and accepted.

  • Personal Information Information like name, email, and phone number.

  • Reset My Security Token Generally won't be used, ask your System Admin if you need access.

  • Security Central What other apps have access to your account.

You can also access the following options, but access may be restricted based on your profile and system settings.

  • Display and Layout

  • Email

  • Chatter

  • Calendar and Reminders

  • Desktop Add-ons

  • Import
