The GEOsearch tool in Rethink just got even more powerful — in addition to property, space, comp, and deal data, users can now search and visualize their Companies and Contacts on a map. This new functionality enhances prospecting workflows by bringing people and organizations into a geographic context.
Why It Matters for Brokers
For CRE pros, relationships and local market insight are everything. Being able to visually search for companies and contacts by geography makes it easier to:
Identify warm leads near a target property or submarket
Uncover potential tenants for a space
Spot concentration of relationships within a territory
Prepare for canvassing or in-person meetings with location-based context
This update brings data to life in a geographic format — making outreach and market knowledge more actionable.
New Functionality
Interactive Mapping:
Visualize contacts and companies on a map using standard draw tools (circle, polygon).
Zoom into any area to see who you know (or who you should know).
Switch between Map and Satellite views for added context.
The contact’s location on the map is determined by the Mailing Address field on the contact record.
The company’s location on the map is determined by the Company Address field on the company record.
Export Capabilities:
Export selected contacts or companies directly from GEOsearch — no need to jump between list views or reports.
Right now, export fields can’t be customized (support for this will come in Phase 2).

How to Enable the New Search Types
To enable this new feature in existing orgs provisioned before this release, Please reach out to Support@buildout.com.
For orgs provisioned after April 2025, the feature is enabled out of the box and requires no additional setup.
