Prospecting Console Lightning App
Prospecting Console Lightning App
Updated yesterday

We’ve added a new out-of-the-box Lightning App to Rethink called “Prospecting Console”, designed to mirror the console-style navigation experience that users loved in Apto.

This app comes with console navigation enabled by default, allowing users to work more efficiently with split views, tabbed records, and a streamlined interface — perfect for managing leads, contacts, and opportunities all in one place.

This was a highly requested enhancement from customers who migrated from Apto to Rethink and missed the productivity benefits of the console experience. Now, there’s no need to build it manually, and it works for all users (not just System Administrators!).

To get started with the Prospecting Console, first create a permission set for platform users and assign it to them. Then, update the Lightning app settings to include the Rethink user profiles.

Note: The custom permission set is only applicable to platform users. System Administrators must be assigned the out-of-the-box permission set named “Salesforce Console User.” If the org doesn’t have any platform users, simply assign the admin user the “Salesforce Console User” permission set and proceed directly to setting up the Prospecting Console App (Look for >> Icon).

Enabling the Prospecting Console

Go to Setup > Permission Sets.

Click New.

For Label, type “Prospecting Console”.

For License, select “Lightning Console”.

Click Save.

Click on System Permissions.

Click Edit, then check the Lightning Console User checkbox.

Click Save, then click Save again when the confirmation appears.

Now, click Manage Assignments.

Click Add Assignments, select all active Rethink Standard Users & Rethink Advanced Users, click Next, then Assign.

>>Next, go to Setup > App Manager and click Edit next to Prospecting Console.

Go to User Profiles on the left, then enable all three Rethink profiles.

Click Save.
